Sadly its back to reality tomorrow. Vacation is over. At least it was a productive end. Got lots done. Finished up with riding Maybs - just for me & her, Been riding but with Zach & thats not productive!! Working on both our fitness & at the end I wanted to do SLOW work on the barrels, you know to get her muscle memory back. Maybs had other ideas. She jogged a little, then came back to go one more time at a slow lope, she slung her head, the snap on the right side of the rein came undone & off we went me with rein flapping in the wind. Now sure, usually you could just pull the left side and circle to a stop... But anyone who had been to my place knows its not meant for running,there lots of obstacles - mostly in the way of trees! So off we go and she inhales the 1st-& 2nd, I get her slowed up to the third, but she was full of herself. So moral is Maybelline did more schooling on me than I did on her! Maybs said just because weve been on RnR doesnt mean I forgot anything- I dont need this remedial shit- you need to get your butt in shape & keep up with me! CLASS DISMISSED!
