Salute to Karl Ieuter, his family, and his supporters on an effective, hard-fought campaign that actually won the larger of the two counties in our district. I can sympathize with what Karl and his family and supporters are probably experiencing right now. Ive won some and lost some, and know how it feels. I ask you to pray for me and my family, and for Karl and his, that well have the strength and stamina to continue to answer the call of duty we both feel to serve our community and the values we share. Heres an easy prediction: Karls a decade younger than I am, and I expect 2014 isnt the last year youll see his name on the ballot. In the meantime, the task before us now is to stand together the next three months to ensure that the 98th District seat in the state House of Representatives remains firmly in Republican hands. With a very narrow majority in the state House, every Republican seat must be faithfully defended, including ours. And with union officials and other liberal PACs spending heavily to win this seat for a very liberal Democrat, my campaign will faithfully work just as hard as we did in the primary to keep this district securely in Republican hands this November. I look forward to working with Karl and his supporters to ensure that our next state representative does in fact take to Lansing our commonly-shared Republican principles: fighting for free enterprise and new jobs, protecting our families and family values, and keeping our communities in Bay and Midland counties the very special places they are to raise our children and grandchildren. For their future, please join us in that worthy cause over the next three months. For more information or to volunteer, please go to GaryGlenn.US -- thanks! -- Gary
