Sarah Cloud writes: Our WHY! I have a wonderful son (my only child) who was diagnosed over 5 years ago with #JA, Enthesitis Related Poly #JIA to be exact. I have watched him endure several surgeries, days of being bedridden, wheelchair bound on others, and yet walking on others. He has suffered with #IBS his entire life. Not to mention he has Aspergers Syndrome on top of it all. He started Plexus ( Thanks Edith Brown Wittwer and Julie Park Moss for bringing Plexus to our area) in late March. He started very slow due to all the medications he was taking and just did Probio 5 and Biocleanse. By his 2 month follow up in May there was no active signs of disease! He was going to the bathroom 2 x a day, that has never happened in his life! As in my son has been hospitalized repeatedly for bowel impactions and clean-outs. We kept going but had permission to add slim and x-factor as our dr took him off his chemo and his steroids. Not to mention he longer needed 3 stomach medications. By the time we went to our 2 month visit in July, there was no active signs of disease and he was classified as medicated remission. She then took him off his NDSAID, were down to 1 med for anything. Not to mention he was down 17 pounds and his bp went from 166/100 to 116/81. For the first time in a few years she said those magical words our JA families love to hear, see you in 3 months!! Went back in Oct and he hasnt lost any weight but his bp is 113/69, he grew 1/2 inch and is still in medicated remission!!! Today we went to physical therapy for over an hour. For the first time in years I watched my son run on a treadmill, do core exercises and balance training ( all in the pool). He wasnt exhausted, his feet and ankles didnt give out and he was able to move when we got home!! Thats our why!! Whats yours?
