Saturdays Polk County Prep Sports Scoreboard -- 4A BOYS STATE TRACK AND FIELD: Centrals 4 x 100-meter relay team of Toby Prescott, Colby Jackson, Thomas Peterson and Grant Lindley wins the state title with a time of 43.31 seconds. Lindley also won a state title in the 400 (49.23) and took second in the triple jump (feet, 11.75 inches). The 4 x 100 relay team of Zane West, Jackson, Prescott and Lindley also placed second. West took fourth in the 800 (1:58.98) and Peterson finished eighth in the 200 (22.93). 5A BOYS STATE TRACK AND FIELD: Dallas Highs Justin Schafer takes third in the 400-meter run with a time of 50.14 seconds. Schafer also placed fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 44 feet, 8.5 inches. 4A GIRLS STATE TRACK AND FIELD: Centrals Abby McBeth places second in the 1,500 meter run in 4:46.76. 5A GIRLS STATE TRACK AND FIELD: Dallas Highs Kyleen Benz takes second in the discus with a throw 117 feet, 4 inches. Courtney May finishes sixth in the pole vault (9-6).
