Saving the Soles A few years after college my sister and I - TopicsExpress

Saving the Soles A few years after college my sister and I spent a Saturday morning shopping at the Biltmore Fashion Plaza when I chanced upon a pair of knee-high leather boots priced at almost half of what I paid for my first car. Card in hand I checked out disregarding the little twitches in my stomach, the hit to my savings, and my sisters muttered comments that I’d obviously lost my mind. They quickly became my favorite and I wore them at every opportunity so it wasnt a surprise when the soles wore out. I did a little research, found a reputable cobbler, and before too long my boots were as good as new. It never crossed my mind to wonder what would happen if I hadnt found one. Could I repair them myself? What material would be needed? What was the process? If you ever owned a pair shoes worth repairing but, like me, don’t really know how the repair is done watch the short video below – it’s interesting. Oh, by the way, it’s been about twenty-two years since I bought the boost. They are still in my closet, still a favorite ... with a little luck I’ll have them for a long time yet. https://youtube/watch?v=Yn-p-YWEhe0
