Scientists and non-scientists alike: The US is facing an impending, and preventable, helium crisis that could have disastrous impacts on manufacturing, healthcare, technology and science in general. The Federal Helium Reserve, which holds about a third of all global helium supplies, is slated to be shut down in October because of an out of date law. The Reserve currently runs a profit and a shut-down will threaten the volatile helium market. Please help out by petitioning to extend the lifetime of the Reserve:
