Films coming out of The Why Foundation are made by some of the most acclaimed directors; bringing challenging issues to political agendas. With more than 30 awards for films in projects like Why Democracy and Why Poverty, awards include an Academy Award, two Peabodies and a Grierson. The films are now distributed worldwide. We have recently moved our offices to Copenhagen. We currently have an internship position available. We seek enthusiastic, motivated individuals who are looking to gain valuable experience and insight into factual film development, production and distribution. As Intern at The Why Foundation, you will play a significant and important role in a fairly small organization. We are currently launching a range of projects, which require not only a strong interest in factual film and social issues, but also ability to work with deadlines and several projects at the same time. English language and writing skills also required. Internship is a broad position, including: – Assist in project managing with international broadcasters, producers and directors. – Writing and research for online articles – Assisting producers and CEO in their work. – General administrative tasks Applicants can be undergraduate, graduate students or students at other higher educational institutions, where internships are an integral part of the course. The position is a full-time, non-paid internship, starting as soon as possible. The internship primarily takes place at The Why Foundation office in Copenhagen C.
