Seeds of Debt-(Password: pluto) Seeds of Debt’ is a documentary (28 min) about the worlds second largest agro-company, Syngenta, that lends money to small-scale corn farmers in India. Farmers and Syngenta agents confirm loan interest rates as high as 50%-100%, which drives thousands of farmers into poverty and bonded labour. The last two decades, more than 280,000 indian farmers have committed suicide because of debt slavery. Syngenta has threatened to sue the Director of the documentary, Jens Pedersen, and therefore DanWatch has decided to buy the rights to the film. The message is too important. vimeo/115130942
