Seventh graders enjoy an outdoor scientific adventure in the Colorado High Country: Seventh graders pose for a picture near Woods Lake while learning about the reintroduction of cutthroat. Students also worked together to measure the substrate in bottom of Fall Creek and identify the aquatic invertebrates living in Woods Lake and Fall Creek. Seventh graders also worked with Matt Dare from the USFS to get their directives for the day: Analyze the habitat in Fall Creek to determine if it is suitable for cutthroat trout, and determine if it is a good investment in population management to reintroduce cutthroat trout to Fall Creek.
