Severe Weather Bulletin 2 Tropical cyclone warning: Typhoon “#YolandaPH” (HAIYAN) Issued at 5:00AM, 07 November 2013 (Valid for broadcast until the next bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today) Typhoon “YOLANDA” has intensified further as it continues to move West Northwest towards Eastern Visayas Location of eye/center: @ 4:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon “YOLANDA” was located based on all available data at 822 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur (8.4°N, 133.8°E). Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 215 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 250 kph. Movement: Forecast to move West Northwest at 30 kph. Forecast Position: Typhoon “YOLANDA” is expected to be at 240 km East Southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar by tomorrow morning and in the vicinity of Romblon Island by Saturday morning. By Sunday morning, it is expected to be at 740 km West Northwest of Coron, Palawan. PSWS #2(Winds of 60-100 kph is expected in at least 24 hours) : VISAYAS (Eastern Samar, Samar and Southern Leyte). MINDANAO (Surigao Del Norte including Siargao Island, Dinagat Island, northern part of Surigao Del Sur and northern part of Agusan Del Norte) PSWS #1(Winds of 30-60 kph is expected in at least 36 hours) : LUZON (Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Ticao Is., Burias Is., Masbate, Romblon, Marinduque and Southern Quezon) VISAYAS (Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, Antique, Guimaras, Negros Occidental and Orienrtal, Cebu, Camotes Is., Bohol, Siquijor, Leyte, Biliran Is. and Northern Samar) MINDANAO (Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, rest of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur and rest of Surigao del Sur ) •Estimated rainfall amount is from 10.0 - 30.0 mm per hour (Heavy - Intense) within the 600 km diameter of the Typhoon. •Sea travel is risky over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon and over the eastern seaboard of Central Luzon. •The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today.
