Sharing the beautiful speech that Ainsley wrote for Rick Woods Education Rally yesterday. She nailed it big time! Hello. My name is Ainsley Deese. I have been a student at Mills River Elementary and Rugby, and now I go to Hendersonville Middle School. These are all such great schools, but they need more support from our government. My family has many teachers in it: My mom and aunt are both teachers now, and my grandmother, great uncle and great aunt are retired teachers. In my family, we all know education is very important and we believe in it strongly. We want our leaders to feel this way too, and make decisions that help our schools. I think that our leaders should do more to support teachers, students and education. I think Rick Wood would make an excellent leader. I know he believes in public education, and I know he would take care of our schools. Now will you please stand and say the Pledge of Allegiance with me…
