Sharing this photo from Experience Eumundi and the information that was posted by a relative - That photo of the young soldier was my Great Uncle Private #173 Harold Abell of the 9th Battalion who landed at Anzac Cove at dawn 25th April 1915. He was a stretcher bearer and trumpet player in the band. We have a hand written diary he kept detailing his experience during the war. He ultimately was hit in the stomach by shrapnel in France and died on 21st April 1916 he was 21years old. R.I.P Lest we forget.
