Since the beginning of recorded human history, around 3600 BC over 14500 major wars have killed 4 billion people,a number not so long ago, equaled the whole humanity. The wars that took place in 20th century, killed around 200 million people. 66 million people in WW-2, 15 million in WW-1 and rest in war related disease pandemics and famines and other wars and conflicts faught for hegemony of and in the name of nations. This much for not chanting NATION OR COUNTRY. Now come to RELIGION.While having no bias against this or that particular religion, this too has played great havoc with humanity in terms of death and misery,in the entire course of history. Not going too back, let me share with you that in Muslim conquests ( 7th to 19th century ) and Christian excursions against Muslim conquests, including crusades ( 11th to 13th century ), the Spanish reconquista (8th to 15th century) and in ottoman wars in Europe ( 15th to 19th century),tens of millions of people were brutally massacred for the sake of establishing supermacy/ hegemony of one religion over the other.
