Since what happened to my mom a few weeks ago, Ive been more - TopicsExpress

Since what happened to my mom a few weeks ago, Ive been more mindful of my practice of slowing down and being present. Savoring the drink in front of me, savoring the voices and the spark in the eyes, savoring the steps I walk, savoring the smell of nature all around me, savoring the colors I can see, savoring the different and delightful ways of being of the people I encounter every day. Seeing them. Really seeing them in their complexity, in their differences and similarities to my own humanity. And I have to say it: What a ride it has been! And Happy Wednesday! :-) If there is any need that is perpetually unmet on this planet, is the need to feel seen. To feel seen in our humanity, in our vulnerability, in our beautiful imperfection. When we are held safe in that, a key turns inside of our hearts, freeing us from our isolation, transforming our inner world. If there is anything we can offer each other, it is the gift of sight. I see you - perhaps the most important words we can utter to one another. Jeff Brown
