So Allie had a paper to write for school as an interview of your parents as to their thoughts and whereabouts on 9/11. Of course most of the class wasnt born at the time. So I told her my story and then told her once again of how she got her name. Which goes a little like this.... I had just found out only a week or so prior that I was pregnant with Allie. We discussed names and a friend and coworker Kim Lassalle Muhoberac suggested Alexandra. So I looked up the meaning of the name. Alexandra means defender of mankind. Considering the state of affairs we decided it was the perfect name because against the odds of us getting pregnant again, here I was pregnant. Allie read her paper out loud in class but neglected to read that part. Her teacher scanned over her paper and asked if she could share that with the class. Allie said sure, ok. Well now a few are calling her a superhero! Lol. She certainly is one of mine. And if anyone is headstrong enough to defend mankind and not care about what everyone else thinks about her methods, its Alexandra. Just thought Id share this little story. It makes me proud.
