So I just wanted to take a moment to pass on a small thank you to tattooing and to diamond Dave who gave me my start I can I sure you that it was a humble beginning in Ballston spa I was brought into the shop by a girl that I was dating up at the time and ended up The money to apprentice and work.... At that point Ive been apprenticing for about a year and I was working at a Bally total fitness health club so one night October 30, 1998 I get paged to the front desk... My boss Tammy and my girlfriend at the time were in on the whole thing... Of course I had a ridiculous black and blue when Sue and I was all dressed up like a pretty book to sell health club memberships.... So I look out the window and theres Dave standing there if you dont know Dave hes 63 or six for friendly but kind of intimidating looking if you dont know Im smoking a cigarette in his ink stain jeans is beat up cowboy boots and his denim vestwith no sleeves ...on we were very very close we spent a lot of time together but I was a little surprised because he never came to see me at work so he took one more puff from his cigarette flicked it like he owns the place walked in took one look at me thrrew me a of jeans and handed me my boots me a black T-shirt. Look me straight in the face and said come on kid enough of this health club shit your tattoo artist now were out of here... My girlfriend comes out a lot girl dressed up like a metal check he says the limo is perfect outside and were going to see Judis priest in Northhampton Massachusetts and this is how were going to live.... I know not everyone has agreed with everything Dave has said and done everything to the shot that he gave I dont know where my life wouldve ended up I had a dead end job as a dishwasher look at me now... I feel a decent life for myself Ive been able to support my family and Ive been able to see some things in the world that a lot of people will never get to see and I have to say tattooing was a little different back then we work hard we played harder in life hadnt happened yet we didnt have quit so many responsibilities but I wouldnt trade it for anything so thank you Dave you and tattooing much made my entire life possible and hopefullf someday Ill really be able to give you a proper thank you.
