So, I’m helping my boss remodel his rental (my old office and house) in Midvale while he lives in Hawaii. You may have heard stories of this house before, about how creepy we used to think it was. Since Shaun and I have moved out, there have been 4 sets of tenants that have lived there. All of which were independent parties from one another, with no prior knowledge of the house beforehand. Very recently, we had to evict some tenants and I have been spending a lot of time down there managing a remodel of the place, after the tenants thoroughly ransacked it. This part of the story is not really all that important. The point is that we have some very independent parties at the house (again, totally unrelated to any prior tenants or without any prior knowledge of the house in general) including painters, carpet installers, etc. One of the painters comes up to me today and says “I think I should tell you that I think we have a visitor..”. I’m kind of not really paying attention, and ask what kind of visitor, because I hadnt scheduled any showings yet. “Not that kind of visitor, more like someone never left…”, she said. I laughed and said, “yes, I know. This house is a bit creepy. I used to live here, and was always creeped out, which is part of the reason why we moved.” She continued to tell me her story of hearing voices, children in the basement playing, and someone brushing her hair. Then, another painter comes downstairs and says, “I swear I just saw a man upstairs watching me prep the wall, but when I turned, there was no one there!”. Ladies and gentlemen, this marks #7 and #8 individual(s) (again, totally unrelated to each other, or without knowing anything about the house beforehand) that have mentioned to me that they think the house is haunted, with some sort of experience to tell why they feel this way. The creepy part is, the stories are always the same! So now I’m curious.. Do you believe in Ghosts? Creepy things that go bump in the night?
