So after a long day of driving around, getting rejected, making phone calls and going into a management companys office for advice, I found a listing on Westside Rentals to take over a lease in my current area that is in my price range, takes pets...blah,blah,blah. Sounds great, right? I spend nearly two hours viewing the place, competing with other renters to get the attention of the guy showing the place, filling out the application and going to two stores to get a money order for the application fee (the first stores machine was broken.) I return to the apartment and call the guy. Im here with my application and check, I say. He says, Dude. Theres a problem. The manager says they wont take a dog. Then why did you put that you did in Westside Rentals and then tell me to my face that you took dogs? It turns out that the previous dog in the apartment was a service animal and they are not allowing any more dogs in the building. Including service animals. And there you go. An entire day wasted. Now Im going to go make some homemade chili...while I still have a stove. If anyone knows of any available 1 Bedrooms --THAT DEFINITELY TAKES DOGS--please let me know. :-(
