So it has been an test of patience for me and family over the last two weeks. Mom passed in her sleep unexpected while out visiting with us on december27. I am STILL waiting to collect my moms remains from the mortuary here due to all the red tape to get mom cremated so I can bring her back to Maine and lay her to rest with dad. Over the last year and a half after my dad passed away mom and I have spent a lot of time together... Whether it was me going back every month to check in and attempt to be there for her or having her come out west for family reunions and spending the holidays with Emilio , Emilios wonderful family and me. Mom was able to see Ll of her living sisters over the last year including her sister Lori for whom she has not seen in 50 years. I have connected with cousins Kirby,and his family for the first time and reconnected with cousins and family on both mom and dads side . Seeing aunt earline uncle Pete. Kristen Weiss Debbie Snyder and thier families last christmas. When we surprised aunt earline with a surprise visit with mom is also cherished memories. Christine and James Shawn Burdwood keeping an eye on mom while I was on the west coast while dealing with their own struggles with aging parents My child hood friends back east from the hood who shared happy memories of mom growing up For that I am forever feeling blessed. I hope to get mom this week some time so I can bring home and take care of her effects ect and have services . I am guessing the balmy Maine weather will keep us from putting with dad till the thaw😀😢
