So ... the operating procedure is for WAC to take in money - TopicsExpress

So ... the operating procedure is for WAC to take in money earmarked for the orchestra, and apply it wherever it wants in its 4 divisions. WAC uses the orchestras considerable assets to finance capital expenditure, then puts the loan payments on the orchestras bottom line! That is an awesome strategy!. WAC sells a piece of prime real estate -- purchased to build a new Symphony Hall -- and does not shore up the orchestras deficits with even a small fraction of that sale income. The WAC eats all donations because it can! Interestingly, the money that disappears down that mysterious WAC hole doesnt appear to be forthcoming to ASO management either. Desperately strapped for cash, apparently, ASO Management cancels ASYO auditions because locked-out symphony players cant participate. In a shrewd PR move, management actually blames the musicians for this! Snap! Parents are asked if they will donate the application fees to ASO. Stealing from children! I wish Charles Dickens were around to write this book!
