So today on a friends page from Pikeville posted an article where a business was going to build a brewery and distillery in the area. So of course someone comments We need more of god not these things.... Then I see the same article on another friends page and a comment Our church is going to boycott this if true.......WOW...... Let me get this straight! Kentucky ranks around 38th with almost 20% in poverty or below poverty per capita. The coal business has went down leaving many homes on assistance or without a job. So this would bring in new jobs to the area and because of the nature of the business some people would rather live in poverty or a select group of people are going to faith shame those who would try and get a job there? I just dont get it! I will say that the article has comments and a lot of Eastern Ky residents are also praising the idea and the economic boost it could give to Pikeville and the surrounding areas.
