So, today was my last Sunday at Crossroads church before I move to OKC Saturday. Now, part of me thinks it might be a little tacky to write an absurdly long status talking about how awesome people are at that church, but a much bigger (much louder) part of me doesn’t give a crud if its tacky at all. So, here goes; I came into that church at a very weird part of my existence (one might refer to it as a crossroads for pun’s sake) and I think more than anything I needed good people in my life. I needed solid humans, solid Christians, and I got them. God put people in my path like the Hubers, who are radical about Jesus and what he want’s us to do in other nations. Who care about people and give practical, loving advice; who have shown me every time I’m with them what a Christ-centered marriage and family looks like. I’ve also gotten to see that in families like the Jacksons and the Newmans who just ooze this amazing love for people and building relationships. I have had the privilege of having pastors who would kneel and pray at the foot of the cross before they ever got up on stage and said a word to the congregation. I have the most amazing, talented, awesome friends because of Crossroads. There are so many more people that I look up to in my life now; I have guy friends that are like brothers to me now, and girl’s who have input into my life without ever knowing it because of their wonderful actions and words. These amazing, brilliant, magnificent people are who I get to call my family, and that makes me so ridiculously blessed.
