So… tonight, 7:35 PM. I am about to seriously mangle a cover of “Here There and Everywhere”—setting up the computer to record. I’m tuning the guitar for the take. All of a sudden I decide to write a new song and these chords and melody start coming to me. I grabbed a pencil and started to jot down lyrics. This is the song. I’m not saying it’s good or bad, but it is something that is here that wasn’t here before. Maybe that counts for something.
