So when I posted earlier that we are having a little girl, I was so excited and didnt think for a second that the Dr. May have any bad news for us. But, it turns out there are a couple of issues...her umbilical cord only has 2 vessels. Normally, there are 3. This means that she isnt getting as much blood flow/nutrition from me like she would if the cord was functioning properly. So, all we know for now is that she is really small, and we will get to see her on ultrasound every 3 weeks to monitor her growth. I have an appt. with a specialist next week, so we should know more then. Trying to stay positive...I believe shes a tiny, tough cookie. Like her mama.
