(starting salary) BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION Under the direct supervision of the Information Officer, primarily responsible for maintaining a sustained and regular interactive presence on all Embassy social media platforms, designing effective strategies to promote the Integrated Country Strategy (ICS) objectives and PAS programming through a variety of social media platforms. Contact: [email protected] QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. 1. University degree in information science, American studies or a related field in the social sciences or the humanities is required. 2. One year of high-level work experience in Web 2.0 and other social media applications and in video technologies is required. These include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube among others. 3. English level IV (fluent) (speaking/reading/writing); Spanish level IV (fluent) (speaking/reading/writing) are required. The Office of Human Resources will contact for testing purposes ONLY those applicants that meet all other requirements. 4. Familiarity with Dominican and U.S. foreign affairs policies, legislative and other domestic issues relevant to ICS themes. Stay abreast of developments in new media in order to recommend strategies for effective management with local audiences through new media tools, basic knowledge of graphic design and/or desktop publishing are required. 5. Interpersonal, cross-cultural, written and oral communication and customer service skills are required.
