Some amazingly exciting activities coming up, organised by YMCA Toronto July 9 – Mandatory Volunteer Orientation All youth must attend to receive training on YMCA volunteer policies and learn about different disabilities and how to best serve members with disabilities. Youth will receive volunteer hours for attending. July 10 - Visit the Art Gallery of Ontario and Discover your Inner Artist Youth will visit the Art Gallery of Ontario and have the chance to meet a young Hip Hop artist from the YMCA of Colombia. July 11- Volunteer for YMCA Strong Kids Relay Youth will volunteer at the YMCA’s fundraising race where they will help the event run smoothly, direct and encourage runners and walkers. July 13 – Volunteer or Attend “Rep. Your Region” Talent Show Youth who volunteer will assist in the set up and take down of the talent show and help the event run smoothly. Youth and family members are invited to enjoy the youth talent show! July 16 – Toronto Island Volunteering Youth will join a boat tour of the Toronto harbour and Toronto Islands. Youth will then explore the island, play games, go swimming if desired and have the opportunity to volunteer at the YMCA Day Camp on the island. July 17 – What’s Canadian Culture and Diversity? Youth will participate in games and activities to help them become familiar with elements of Canadian culture and what “diversity” can mean.
