Some memories are realities, the narrator of Illusion Theaters production of My Antonia tells the audience, and are better than anything that can ever happen to one again. That line -- like so many in Allison Moores stage adaptation -- comes directly from Willa Cathers 1918 novel. But its also a neat summary of the experience of this luminous and altogether lovely 90 minutes of theater: Its a lovingly structured piece, executed with equal measures of vigor and delicacy, elegantly balancing humor and tragedy, nostalgia and hard-eyed reality.
