Something I have observed over many years of life experiences, - TopicsExpress

Something I have observed over many years of life experiences, causes me to pause. I have hesitated to post this, but feel like God is leading me to. I got into nutrition years ago, to make a difference. Not only in my own life, and the demons I was battling, but hopefully help others to overcome the obstacles I overcame. It seems I cant step foot in a gym, a store, the work place or even church, where women are not talking about their bodies and how upset they are over different aspects of it. This must grieve our heavenly Father, who molded us so fearfully and wonderfully. We are to take care of our temples, nurture them for His service. No where in His word does He tell us the size we need to be. For me, once God took ahold of my heart and led me to trust in Him, the physical fell into place. Our physical and spiritual lives go hand in hand. When we take care of our bodies physically, we are able to serve Him more readily. When we are in His will, our thoughts should not be on our body size or how we compare ourselves to others. I believe in fitness, eating healthy, and as a rule have always strived to do my best. Some women will never be a size 0, 2, or 4 (or whatever your ideal is)., not matter how much effort they put into it. The basics of nutrition and exercise are simple in principle, but it gets distorted so easily. I love the new Dove campaign, embracing women of all sizes. But women are still missing the message. Dont get me wrong, I have not conquered this. But whenever I deal with self doubt, I know I must kneel before my Savior and thank Him, that he made me just the way I am.............I will eat right, exercise, and try to help others, but above all trust the Lord for all the rest! Sermon done.............
