Sorry for the delay, been away from the page for a few days. But.... AWESOME season opener for our Gators! Chomped the Toledo Rockets 24-6 in The Swamp and dominated with the running game and, as always, defense! Junior RB Mack Brown got the start in place of Matt Jones (Viral Infection) and had a career game, ending with 25 carries for 112 yards and 2 rushing TDs. Also, freshman DB Vernon Hargreaves III had an interception in his debut. Senior QB Jeff Driskel looked great as he completed 17 of 22 passes for 153 yards and 1 TD. Lastly, we got to see some offensive action from sophomore SS Valdez Showers as well as a few explosive runs from freshman phenom RB Kelvin Taylor, who got 5 carries late in the 4th that totaled up to 43 yards. --------- Loved this graphic of the final score and I know you guys do too.
