Special shout-out to the very kind people at University Music in Lowell, MA!!! Although I havent met them or been in the store they donated a very NICE piece of gear for the giveaway at my clinic in Lowell tomorrow. They didnt have to do that, especially since the clinic isnt in their store. But its obvious that they want to invest in their local music scene. I, personally, think that is one the keys to helping local music stores survive alongside the big box stores. Some of them get it, some of them dont. University Music gets it!!! And Lowell benefits from that. Ill definitely be dropping by on Monday to personally thank them. We all have to do our part to support our local, family owned music stores.
