Starting to get amped about CIM on Dec 07 - (hopefully not a second day which will live in infamy :) Trying to get a grip and perspective on the whole experience and looked up note sent to my running friend, fellow Zoch outlaw, and inspiration Christa Zoch after my first CIM in 2009.... 12/2009 I officially joined the ranks of masochism anonymous.....that is, first marathon finisher! yea Ran CIM on Sunday, which starts in our hometown Folsom and goes to state capitol in Sacto. Was really an experience, have to say. Rolling party atmosphere. Was cruising on 4:05 pace at half mark, wheels started to come loose about 17, went thru the wall at 20 with the 4:15 gang, serious misgivings and limping at 22, walk/run/stagger last couple, in at 4:31. I had run my longest race ever..Folsom half marathon on Halloween 2009.. then decided why not go for a full marathon! signed up for CIM (must have been special charity entry they were offering at that late date) training was nonexistent and aftermath pain I still vividly remember - but I was hooked... will be running my 6th CIM week from Sunday. God ( and select body parts) willing of course :) Cant wait to see my fellow CIMers out There! LETS ROCK IT!
