State Police Investigating Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash on Rt. 8 in Hinsdale This evening at approximately 5:30 p.m., troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Cheshire Barracks responded to report of a motorcycle crash on Rt. 8, South of Michaels Road in Hinsdale. The 24 year-old, male operator of the motorcycle has been identified AARON BARNES, 24, of Great Barrington. The initial investigation indicates that the victim had been passing a vehicle when his motorcycle left the paved surface of the roadway along the left-hand side of the road. He was transported to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield where he succumbed to his injuries. The facts and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
