Steinmüller Africa Apprenticeship Programme 2014 By: Site Editor on AUG 27 We currently have approximately 130 apprentices in our two Steinmüller Africa Technical Training Academies (SATTA) located in Pretoria-West and Bethal (Mpumalanga). Both academies are merSETA-accredited training facilities. We will be taking in additional groups of apprentices in 2014 for the following programmes at both academies : Welders; Boilermakers; and Pipefitters. Steinmüller Africa (Pty) Ltd. is a subsidiary of Bilfinger Power Africa, the South African branch of Bilfinger Power Systems GmbH. The company was founded in 1962 and is active in the areas of engineering, design, maintenance and fabrication. Steinmüller Africa offers comprehensive expertise in welding and environmental technology, lifetime extension plans and project management. In addition, the company’s Plant and Equipment Hire division provides a wide range of cranes, lifting gear, and mobile offices for site establishment. The company currently has approximately 900 employees. What we offer: Our apprenticeship programmes are developed to provide theoretical as well as practical knowledge and training, to meet the minimum requirements of unit standards of their respective programmes. Thus, highly effective, productive and quality artisans are provided to the Steinmüller Africa workshops and project sites. What do I need in order to qualify for an apprenticeship programme? N3 or Grade 12 with the following subjects: Mathematics (Mathematics Literacy alone does not suffice); Science; and Drawings (would be advantageous). How to apply?
