Step 1: I took a deep breath before I fell. The drop down was quick, unpleasent and very wet; any breath I drew after having left the precipice would likely fill my lungs with water. I had to remember, it may be some time before I am able to breathe again, and when I entered the river below, air filled lungs would make me more buoyant. I jumped out, away from the edge. If possibleI leaped as far from the edge as i could. There may have been a rocky outcropping which i wouldve wanted to avoid on the way down, which i did, it tends to acumulate in the water directly beow the water fall. As a genral rule, the father from the edge you jump, the deeper the water will be when you land. I then kept my body vertically, feet pointing down. It was impossible to know how deep the water would be, so its safest to jump feet-first. Should I have broken my feet or legs, I might have still been able to reach the shore.; breaking my skull was another matter. Neither is advisable to land on your back, which would shatter like a cheap wine decanter. Use your arms to protect your head. I wrapped my arms around my head to shield it from unyielding objects encountered during my fall, I did this because the brain is the most important part. The other parts like limbs, rump, genitalia, or cranium- its the last that is of paramount importance to protect. I spread my arms and legs when I entered the water. This created drag and retard your descent. I began swimming immediately, this is were Sherlock came into things, you tried to look, Sherlock stopped you for a couple of seconds, in those seconds I did all the following steps and got to shore safely. Time wasnt on my side. If the water was frigid, I might of had less than thirty seconds to make it to shore before my muscles cramp and I entered a state of hypothermic shock. I paddled away from the falling water to avoid being trapped behind the waterfall, and headed for the nearest strand of visible shoreline. Step 2, After I got on shore I realised I needed a couple of things. A body, DNA results and an eye witness and a news broadcast. Also a safe house to stay at. Step 3: Body, Ianto Jones from the Torchwood institute. Ianto tells his team to get to work. Owen provides the body from the mortiray, it was important that the body was bashed, broken and bruised. Step 4: DNA results- Thats were Toshiko comes into things, Toshiko faked the DNA results using her IT skills whilst owing uses his medical skills for the body. Step 5: Eye witnesses- Gwen got some eye witnesses together, basicly random people who are payed to lie. Step 6: The news broadcast- everything was put into place. Ianto drove the team to the reichenbach falls , Owen put the body in the water , Gwen got the eye witnesses ready. Step 7- It all comes together - The camera crew is there- they pull the body out of the water, the news person confirms the DNA results belong to Hamish Holmes, me. Even though the body is beating and broken and battered. Finally the eye witness describe that they seen a 16 year old boy, plummet to his death. Final step: Ianto and the team offerd me a safehouse to stay at until it was safe to return. Jenny Smith
