Stress is measured in different ways and can by defined as pressure or tension against something, in this case, the mind. The force is negative in nature, positive outlook, attitude, and ways of thinking are the best ways to counteract stress. Without something to relieve, release, or to counteract; that stress (pressure) will cause a breakdown. I used to workout, play with the babies, play basketball to relieve built up stress now I maintain lower stress levels through focus on the Lord and belief that the outcome will be in my favor. How you maintain your levels can only be chosen and employed by you but, if they continue to build, the breakdown could be more than emotional episodes. It could become a stress related medical event like a heart attack or a nervous breakdown. Dont give negativity a home, get the stress up of your chest and breathe easy. Live in love and make THIS day great.
