THE LOVE OF A FATHER The first instruction to this generation is for the Hearts of the fathers to return to their children. It is the concluding scripture of the Old Covenant, as the New Covenant was being revealed. MALACHI 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. It therefore pleases God, when the heart of the fathers is turned to their children. It is a shield from a curse. This is a call to every father; turn your heart to your children. This will also reveal to you as an individual the depth of God`s Love to mankind, according to one of the most widely read portion of scriptures; JOHN 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This is because: 1. If you have a son to give, and your heart is turned to him, you will understand the full meaning of John 3:16. 2. If you are a son, and had to be given away, you will understand the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ. Stand up fathers; let us halt a curse from the earth by turning our hearts to our children. Most of the children turning into criminals, and social misfits are a direct result of there being no fathers in their lives to stand in the gap, and to show them love. A little bit of love every morning will go a long way. As a father take some time and pray for your children. Let us do this in faith.
