THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL The love of money is the root of all evil. - TopicsExpress

THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL The love of money is the root of all evil. Under the umbrella of prosperity theology, so many evil is taking place In the Churches. To invite a prominent Servant of God for a Crusade or Convention, it cost these days so much money. Some Servants of God find it hard to live with $50,000 income a month. How these people can understand the pain and poverty of the poor people? Christ should be our example when we think of prosperity. We should know how Christ lived 33 ½ years in this earth. He was God, but He EMPTIED HIMSELF taking the form of a bond-servant to show us an example. Let not the god of this world blind the believers/Preachers who amass much wealth for them in the form of luxury homes, cars, boats and vacation homes and many luxury items around the homes. But realize this that in the latter days men will be lovers of money and lovers of PLEASURES rather than lovers of God, they wander from the faith and pierce themselves with many griefs. Know this that Christians will go through many persecutions in the near future. Time is coming close that all the savings of the people will end up under the control of Anti Christ, who will demand that all the inhabitants of the world to take his name`s number 666, without which nobody can buy or sell or do any kind of transaction. This number is even now prevalent (w.w.w.) all over the world. It is a matter of time to take the number of the beast (Anti Christ). Jesus said to his followers: Everyone who has given up relatives and fields for His sake will receive 100 times as much in return and will inherit eternal life. He also said many who are first will be last and the last first. What is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God. God hates human pride. If anyone boasts, Scripture tells to boast only in the Lord, otherwise you are inviting grief and sorrow in your life. But carnal mind is hostile to God`s law unless there is an intervening work of the Spirit. Jesus said, the foxes have holes and the birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head. Our Lord and Savior did not boast. Who wanted to be proud and exalted above Him? Apostle John said, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. The question is did Apostle John prosper financially? He was ministering the Lord where ever God sent him. Finally we see him in the island of Patmos, where he was alone and lonely but God`s presence was with him and told him to write the Book of Revelation. Apostle Paul tells his story that many times he was hungry and thirsty and naked. This kind of prosperity the Apostles and Disciples were familiar with. The Preachers need to set an example before the believers. Otherwise there will come a falling away first and that Man of Sin (Anti Christ) be revealed. Let no man deceive the Church by any means. It is our duty to live without pride among the believers, to be approved of God as a workman that need not to be ashamed so as to receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him, 2 Timothy 2:15.
