THE STORY OF THE PRODIGAL STUDENT My name is ME, with tears in my heart , I ponder about the millionaire I would have become if only i had invested the money I spent on buying expensive phones which has now turned a liability, the data subscriptions, recharge card for voice calls. The running cost on my phone almost equates my family total income. Yet I still depend on my parents for allowance. Money spent on keeping up to the trendy wears, hairstyles, and ostentatious items. It gone down the drain. I reflect on the MAN-HOUR I wasted on unproductive chats, gist , gossips, wild timeout with friends , this MAN-HOUR would have been converted to millions in a company (CTR ).I just can’t helped myself. Daily, I think about changing the person I am to a better person. An innermost cry for CHANGE. An intense agony crying out for CHANGE. But it all ends in the mind and eventually it been snuff out by my SELF COMPLACENCY, PROSCRASTINATION AND INORDINATE TASTES. I hope for a better future , a future of fulfilment; an el dorado indeed ,but ZERO effort is put into the machine OF CHANGE.I Fantasizes of how lovely my future would be, and erroneously believed that my life would fit perfectly in the future, so I enjoyed my TODAY in youthful Exuberance. Alas I missed out the salient point; I failed to understand that the major determinant for a better FUTURE is my TODAY. TDDAY represents my possibilities, opportunities, choices and I have absolute power over my TODAY. I am in charge of my TODAY. How I manage my TODAY determines how my future will be. Wasting my TODAY is liken to as eating the FRUIT and the SEED. AWAKE OUT OF THY SLUMBER OH ME, ARISE AND PUT ON THY STRENGHT, SHAKE THYSELF FROM THE DUST AND LOOSE THYSELF FROM YOUR SELF IMPOSED CHAIN. I AM A CAPTIVE OF MY OWN IMAGINATION. I TAKE CHARGE OF MY TODAY I ACTVATE AND SET IN MOTION THE WHEEL OF CHANGE WITHIN ME.. … Newton’s first law of motion (MY VERSION) “mankind will continue in his state of complacency or dynamic greatness, except he is being acted by an external force” GENERATE THE FORCE WITHIN FOR A CHANGE.
