THE TRUTH ABOUT HOLINESS Text: Exodus 28:2 In the beginning, God established the connection between holiness and beauty. There was no true beauty without holiness. So, when God wanted to beautify Aaron and others, He instructed Moses: “And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty” (Exodus 28:2). But today, the devil has succeeded in lying to many that it is not possible to be holy and be blessed. They tell you that holiness is “old-fashioned” and for timid people. They tell you that when you chose holiness you chose foolishness. But these are pure lies from the pit of hell. - Daniel and his friends chose the path of holiness and didn’t defile themselves; they were 10 times better than those who ate the king’s meat (Daniel 1:20). Daniel retained holiness and integrity and was the number 1 among 120 princes. Holiness was his secret of excellence (Daniel 6:1-4). - Joseph did not defile himself but chose to be holy and faithful to God. He was the number 1 choice in Egypt. He was an ambassador of the kingdom of Heaven. - Job was acknowledged by God as incomparable to anyone in his days. He didn’t steal money; cheated no one, yet he was blessed (Job 1:8). Anyone who says you cannot be blessed unless you are smart in figures and dubious in character; that person is a “small Lucifer” – son of the liar called satan. Elisha was walking around and a great woman saw him and recommended him to her husband. She told her husband: “And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually” (2 Kings 4:9). Hear this: the highest recommendation you can have that will count for you in this life and in eternity is holiness. It opened the door for Elisha. Sometimes what people need for doors to open onto employment, opportunities and others is not dry prayer and fasting, but a testimony of integrity anchored on the life of holiness. Doors will open, success will come, money will flow in, miracles will happen, IF people will step on the high way of holiness (Isaiah 35:8). As you become committed to living the righteous life, you begin to attract the anointing for increase. The anointing came upon David and his life and story changed. God moved him from the bush and took him to the palace. He was the preferred choice among many candidates. What was his secret? Righteousness! (Psalm 45:7). Today, make yourself available and become empowered for the holy life…it is the secret of the winning life. You shall no longer experience defeat in Jesus’ name. Amen.
