THE VICTIM OF MODERN DAY LIFESTYLE Funny parody, right? But road rage isn’t funny when it hurts or even kills people in some situations. The modern day lifestyle has taken its toll on everyone. The demand that we pursue wealth and happiness has ironically left most of us stressed and bitter on the inside. Mothers who spend day and night trying to keep their household in order, workers who tire themselves out trying to fulfil the company’s quota, business owners who toil day in and day out to keep their businesses afloat and feed their employees. ALL of us are under pressure to hustle in preparation for a better tomorrow. While some of us finds a way to release this pent up pressure, a lot still keeps the stress hidden away under the pre tense of being patient and hard. Bullshit. There will be one of those days when they snap and everything that they pent up will come out and consume those around you. Road rages are those instances when people you say ‘do not do these kind things’ snap. Especially when its on a bad day. I believe the rising number of road rages are a product of stressful lifestyle among Malaysians, rather than the lack of moral. We need an outlet for this kind of stress if not we are going to regret it if we snap at the wrong time and wrong person (Well, if you snapped at any time at any person its going to be bad as well). Some of us have hobbies to turn to release tension and stress. Cars, Photography, Games, etc. Well, why not hit the gym and better yet, focus those stress and tension on a punching bag. Take up Martial arts like boxing, karate, muay thai, mma and release that pent up emotion one, two or three times a week.
