THERE IS NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS !! No one knows this better then this businessman from India...He has never been a graceful orator like Vajpayeeji, but is a captivating orator. He knew during the general elections that the omnipresent Gujarati diaspora all over the country would give that push for his ascendency, similarly he knows that the highly agile Indian diaspora all over the world will catapult India to international leadership. His speech was on this direction, exhorting American Indians to do precisely this. Whatever little I know about the PM, He must have conveyed this message to the NRIs during his closed door meetings with them. The speech & the atmosphere was for you all to see. Earlier I had wanted to hold a contest for SCCI members, wherein they would predict what the PM would say in his speech, but due to fever & conjectivities dropped the idea as it would require working whole day & late night till it ends. But had that been held, I am sure all the participants would have been hugely surprised. As I wrote yesterday PM is more comfortable with his extempores and todays speech proved this point. The show had all the elements for success. Did the American administration see the participation of Muslim Bohra community? Does the so called secular politicians in India understand that politics in whose name they do are least bothered. They like any Gujarati Businessman would not like to miss the development train. Well done PM even though the real business starts tommorrow, in the words of the great showman Late Raj Kapoor SHOW MUST GO ON
