THIRSTY PEOPLE....!?! In the 80s and 90s when someone spoke of being hungry it meant that you were known for being ambitious and competitive. You had drive and iron will! It was a highly respectable character attribute! Nowadays, people only talk about thirsty people and somehow flipped the same concept into a negative connotation that defines you as desperate if you show too much desire or ambition toward goals, professional, personal or romantic. How much is too much when you are still in pursuit and who gets to decide that for you? To be honest, the profound ignorance of that concept pisses me off! I was working with some young artists before who wouldnt promote because they didnt want to seem thirsty! That is when I realized the damage of the stigma! I have to be honest. There is no other culture that embraces ignorance and self-defeating concepts the way we do! No snitching! i.e....We assist the criminals and disregard the victims. I dont even want to talk about saggy pants everywhere....its been what 20 years? Geez! Its just defiance against decorum.... I guess a kid could be considered thirsty if they raised their hand too much in class! I already know they shun the concept of being articulate for fear of being ridiculed for talking white as if ignorance is our birthright! In a culture full of poverty, broken families, crime and oppression, all we need is ANOTHER JACKED UP IDEAL THAT STIGMATIZES ANYONE WHO PURSUES LOVE, CAREER, GOALS AND DREAMS WITH OPENNESS, AMBITION AND PASSION! THUS WE WILL BECOME EVEN MORE APATHETIC! FOR ANYONE WHO MAY BE INTERESTED IN DISCERNMENT; *A CLOSED MOUTH DONT GET FED! *YOULL DIE OF THIRST DAYS BEFORE YOUD DIE OF HUNGER! *ANYONE WHO PUSHES AN AGENDA OF PREVENTING YOU FROM DOING SOMETHING YOU BELIEVE IN, IS A NEGATIVE INFLUENCE AND OPPRESSIVE SPIRIT. *TAKE A LOOK AT THE LIFESTYLE OF PEOPLE WHO ARE CONSTANTLY HOLLERING THIRSTY! THEY PROBABLY DONT HAVE MUCH STABILITY IN THEIR RELATIONSHIPS OR CAREERS...AHHH BUT IF THEY DO....THEY ARE HYPOCRITES BECAUSE YOU CANT ACHIEVE THESE WITHOUT FEEDING YOUR THIRST! IN THAT CASE, THEY ARE JUST TRYING STAY UP ON THE LATEST SLANG BUT IF YOU AINT GOT YOURS ARE YOU GONNA LET EM STOP YOUR FLOW!?! NAAAH....! FEED YOUR THIRST LIKE GATORADE!
