THIS IS NOT SCAREMONGERING. Heres my personal experience. I am waiting for an urgent NHS operation. During my first call to the surgeons secretary, I was told it will take time to see the surgeon, however, if I wished to pay, I could see him the following day. Hmmmmm! Weeks later a general letter from the relevant department informed me I was now on a waiting list that would probably take 6 weeks for me to reach the top, after which they would write to me to make a mutually convenient time for an appointment (In other words, another two months wait). Final paragraph: BSUH also provides a wide range of private services. If you are insured or wish to know more about our services, contact ..... ....... Hmmmmmm! Hmmmmmm !! Ive paid for NHS treatment for more than 45 years. I do not expect NHS secretaries and auto-generated letters to be selling me private services so that I can be treated quickly, despite having urgent referrals from my GP and other Specialists requesting urgent and immediate attention. These private companies are not only functioning within our hospitals, they are already exerting strong influence as seen by my own experience! Please sign and share this widely and force the NHS to come clean that links to private companies are already in place. Thank you xxx
