THIS SONG IS EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE AND OBNOXIOUS ON EVERY LEVEL. VIEWER BE WARNED. Tis the season yall! I love Christmas music. I know most people can get tired of it but for some reason I enjoy it immensely. That said, I wasnt always this way. As can be attested by some of my friends, the Christmas music at Kohls blew chunks. Of course, Kohls is cheap and uses a generic cover all blanket station designed for department stores that used the seventeen millionth cover of Winter Wonderland sung by a three toed sloth by the sound of it. Give me Nat King Coles silent night over the dreck that Disney Pop Princess B is shoveling out this year. However, even with that all said, The carols and music of the season that I enjoy most are the songs that are a little odd and off the beaten path. I generally celebrate the holidays in my own special way, and I like the musical accompaniment that I have to do the same. So this year Id like to share those odd, funny, and downright WTF songs that I enjoy every year on my iPod, in a facebook post string I like to call The Weird Carol of the Day. To kick things off, a song I actually just found a few days ago, yet nearly perfectly describes my excitement when christmastime rolls around. Note I said nearly perfectly, as this song takes the joy of christmas to levels so extreme that even I cant hope to match it. Ill set the scene. This song is performed by Doug Walker, most notably famous for playing The Nostalgia Critic, an internet reviewer who started out reviewing movies from my childhood such as Fern Gully or Monster Squad, with the intent to poke fun at how horrible they were, yet still invoke that nostalgic feeling when you watch them. For the month of December The Critic usually goes ballistic with joy knowing that Christmas is near, and every year his outbursts get larger and larger.
