THOSE YOU CALL POOR ARE NOT AND THOSE YOU CALL ELITE ARE POOR OF WORK ETHIC: I believe our description of poor has been distorted by the flamboyant Urbanites in Kampala whose money is mostly embezzled or obtained through dubious means. Like someone mentioned up trail, some of these people are hard working individuals who may not wear the fanciest clothes or show off by throwing insane parties, they work hard for their money and they have nothing to prove. Just because they are using public transportation doesnt mean that they are poor. They paid the fare didnt they?! As mike Rowe said in his TED talk, we the so called elite have declared war on work, we think success is wearing a suit and tie and working in an office. Its no wonder all productive labor is fleeing the villages and heading to the city to look for work when real work is in the villages where the agricultural sector blossoms. You have lots of followers Stella and I really hope that we can change the discourse regarding our perception to poverty. There are two sides of the same coin and your narrative is one sided.
