TWO LIGHTS Each flame on our chanukiot must be both distinct and connected to the other(s) at the same time. We can increase our light by joining with others, but not by consuming their unique identity nor by joining with only those like ourselves. Im fortunate in both my face-to-face world, as in my Facebook world, to have friends who stand near me and shine their lights with my own, while also challenging me to expand my vision, break stereotypes, biases and misperceptions, and see my life and my would as it can be—beyond where it is now.
