Take It Easy the real story: Okay folks, weve all heard the song made famous by the Eagles, regarding said corner in Winlsow, Arizona and the perverbial Flatbed Ford. I just learned this all last night, from the local gentry in Winslow. The song was written by Jackson Browne (who has visited Winslow, and stays at the La Posada 5 star hotel), but was actually written in Flagstaff at the Dog Haus (formerly Wienershnitzel) near the Campus of Northern Arizona University. Rumor has it Jackson Browne had car trouble in Winslow, en route to Sedona, but that hasnt been confirmed. After struggling with the lyrics, Standing on a Corner in Winslow, Arizona seemed to roll off the tongue easier than standing in Flagstaff. The Eagles, as a group, have never visited, or performed this hit song, which is sad to the Community, but good ol Jackson Browne has. And, there you have it, The Rest of the Story
