Thank you, everyone for your concerns and questions! Its a busy day and Im having a hard time keeping up with messages, so I will post an update here and hopefully it will get around... Scan results are in. Not the best news, but, not the worst.. His tumor hasnt shrunk but it also hasnt spread. Its unusual that it hasnt shrunk, though, so the doctor is wondering if the neuroblastoma cells are maturing, (meaning that the tumor is becoming benign). Benign tumors dont respond to chemo, therefore, dont shrink... He is hopeful that the tumor will respond to these stronger treatments and begin shrinking. Either way, he will have more scans after his 4th treatment and again, after his 5th. They will operate after the 5th treatment because that is the only way to figure out if its benign. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers. The poor little guy is having a difficult time with the realization that grandma gets to go home today but he has to stay. :,( Thank you again!! God bless!!
