Dont get me wrong, I kind of see showboating being policed a bit in a meaningless 9-2 game in July. But in a playoff, must win game? I heard an analyst say it best...if you play for the Cardinals, let him showboat! It almost cost him a base and who knows, a off kilter throw could have given Puig an inside the park HR! His showboating could have benefitted the Cardinals. Arguably... Or make a play and shut him up! Throw him out! As it was, Puig got some chin music the next game. I guess thats okay too. When I saw him celebrate, I was saying, screaming really, Run dummy, you better make third! And he did by the way. Monday night was a big game. In a highly competitive series. And why in the Hell did a boring Monday Night Football game have twice as many viewers? Besides fantasy, its because there is passion IN EVERY PLAY. SUCCESS is celebrated. Every sack, every score, a safety, a field goal, every play. We see flexing, dances, arms up, jumping in the crowd, etc. Every game, every week in the NFL. But baseball games are supposed to be played with players who act like librarians so as not the offend the MULTI-MILLIONAIRES in the other team who should be JUST as excited to be one of the 5 percent of the league still playing at this time. Sorry, regardless of who you root for, Ill take passion every time. If you dont like it, or dont share it, watch sailing, or golf. THIS lunacy is why the NFL is King and the game I love, baseball, will always fall behind
