The 2013 Purple Ribbon Task Force (PRTF) Report recommended that the Florida Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) conduct a statewide survey of caregivers of persons with Alzheimers disease and related dementias (ADRD). The purpose of the survey is to describe the following: •The status of Floridas caregivers of individuals with Alzheimers disease or related dementias (ADRD) and their care recipients, •The types of support available to them, and •The on-going impact of caregiving responsibilities. The Department of Elder Affairs needs your help in passing along information about the survey to caregivers of persons with Alzheimers disease (including mild cognitive impairment) and related disorders (ADRD) in your community, particularly those with whom you have contact. The survey is anonymous. https://surveymonkey/s/2014_ADRD_Caregiver_Survey The survey instrument will be available online beginning May 19, 2014. The Department will automatically receive completed online surveys. Thank you for your help. Survey results will help the Department plan improved ADRD services based on survey information about current problems impacting caregivers and the availability of services in their communities. Please call or email me in case of questions.
